At the MWC 2017, HMD Global launched the all-new Nokia 3310 feature phone as the successor to 17-year old Nokia 3310. The new Nokia 3310 came with a slimmer body and features a 2.4-inch QVGA color display and a 2MP rear camera. However, the cellular connectivity on this device is only limited to 2G. The new Nokia 3310 won’t work in markets like Australia, Singapore, and the Netherlands, where there is no 2G network support.
In the past, we have seen few leaks suggesting HMD Global to also launch the 4G variant of the new Nokia 3310. Now, this upcoming feature phone is listed on TENAA with the model number TA-1077. On the connectivity front, the listing revealed the device to support TD-LTE and TD-SCDMA. Interestingly, the Nokia 3310 4G is mentioned to run on the Alibaba’s Yun OS.
Looking at the images, the device looks exactly similar to the earlier Nokia 3310. The Yun OS is developed based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and lacks the Google Play Services support. Just like the Android Go, the Alibaba might also develop the liter version of the Yun OS for the feature phones.
