iOS Losing in Key Markets, Except China

According to Kantar Worldpanel analysis, Apple’s iOS is losing ground in the smartphone market in a number of key countries. As our chart shows, decreases in the U.S. and Great Britain of 3.7 and 5.7 percentage points respectively, typify the current situation for the iPhone and its operating system as it struggles to keep its hold on the ever more Android dominated market. The main exception though, is China. With a 4.4 percentage point increase, of the markets assessed, this is Apple’s strongest growth country. Smaller gains were also made in Brazil, Mexico and Germany.
